International Symposium on Sustainability Science 2015 : Creation of a Sustainable Society in Harmony with Nature

On 24 January 2015 Sustainability Science Consortium (SSC) will host the International Symposium on Sustainability Science: Creation of a Sustainable Society in Harmony with Nature in Tokyo. The symposium will explore insights from sustainability science on the transition to a green economy, and its role in achieving a sustainable society in balance with nature.

The symposium will feature a keynote speech by Sir Partha Sarathi Dasgupta (Professor Emeritus, University of Cambridge) and plenary speeches by Abdul Hamid Zakri (Chair, Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity & Ecosystem Services, IPBES), Harold Mooney (Professor, Stanford University) and other leading experts.
